Severe Ptosis ( Stage III ) : Vertical technique (also used in breast reduction surgery)  is the primary choice. Incision is limited to a lollipop incision, which is more advantageous in terms of healing, without any scarformation under the breast. Inverted-T incision techniques are preffered in patients with extreme skin excess and tissue laxity.

 

Modereate Ptosis ( Stage II   ) : Vertical technique provides excellent cosmetic results. 

 

Mild Ptosis ( Stage I ): Although all techniques are appliable, Circumareolar technique (limited to the circular pigmented area) heals without noticable scars.
