Fat Grafting
Fat grafting can be also called fat filling, fat injection or fat transfer.
This procedure can be defines as the transfer of fat cells from donor sites such as abdomen, buttocks, and thighs, to body areas where volume enlargement is desired.
Fat transfer to the face, neck, hands, legs, buttocks, breasts or other body regions can achieve permanent volumization and smooth contours.
BENEFITS
-
Our own fat cells, unlike synthetic fillers, do not induce an allergic or foreign body reaction
-
Lack of adipose tissue is again filled with adipose tissue.
-
The results are natural and permanent.
-
Adipose tissue is the reserve tissue for stem cells. Even this is single factor may rationalize fat transfer.
DISADVANTAGES
-
It is a longer process compared to synthetic fillers.
-
Some of the transferred fats may melt and the melting rate varies from person to person.
-
More than one session may be required to achieve the desired result .
