The eyes are the window to the outside world. Social relationships begin with eye contact. Drooping in the eyelids, under-eye bags or dark circles around the eyes, blemishes, moles and even structural disorders of the nose can screen the shimmer in eyes.

Sagging of the lids are usually accompanied with fat bags (swelling and puffiness) of the upper and lower eyelids, but this is not a rule. There may be fat bags without skin sagging or only skin excess may be present without bags.

These bags are may be caused by swelling/edema or bulging of the fat surrounding the eyes. Sometimes the tear gland -located on the upper outer side of our eyeball- may also cause upper eyelid puffines .

 

With advancing age, sunken eye appearance may occur .

Dark circles around the eyes is another problem that gives a tired appearance to the face. 

 

Upward curvature of the eyebrows is considered to be an attractive feminine feature. When any intervention to eyelids is planned, position of the eyebrows should be taken into consideration . Lower eyebrows should be corrected.

​

Deformities of nose and mid-face are also closely related to eye aesthetics. A healthy and youthful appearance is achieved only by eliminating all these problems.
