In cases where medium-small amount (20-100 ml) of fat transfer is required -such as hands, face- local or sedation anesthesia may be used.

On the other hand, general anesthesia is preferred in cases requiring large volume (> 300 cc) fat transfer -such as breast or buttocks.

  • Preparation of fat cells : At this critical stage, fat cells are cleansed from blood and local anesthetics (centrifugation or filtration), making them purified and denser. REVOLVE ™ Advanced Adipose System (Allergan) is used in our clinic for this purpose. Advantages of Revolve Oil Transfer System are:

    • 350 ml of fat can be processed in 10 minutes since fat aspiration, separation and condensation takes place in one device,

    • It protects fat cells by preventing their contact with air,

    • As it is a closed system, it prevents bacteria and virus contamination,

    • There is no air, bacteria and human contact to improve fat cell viability compared to centrifugation or filtration.

PRP, Nano Fat or Stem cell Enrichment  is also carried out at this stage.

Whether the procedure is done under sedation or general anesthesia, involves 3 basic steps:

  • Fat harvesting: After the selected area (usually abdomen, thighs or legs) is prepared, sufficient tissue is aspirated under low pressure with special fat harvesting cannulas, .

Before Fat Grafting

  • Transfer : Fat cells are transferred to the required areas with the help of fine cannulas and special injectors.
