Liposuction Candidate

It should be emphasized that liposuction surgery is not a "weight-loss" operation. It is a process of body shaping - like sculpture.

The aim of liposuction is contour correction that can be applied to body regions. It can be applied to improve form of face, neck, chest (both men and women), arms, butt, abdomen, buttocks, hips, calves, thighs or legs.

As mentioned earlier, liposuction can be used to remove excess subcutaneous fat in any part of the body.

The most suitable candidates for are:

  • People with regional fat accumulation. Fatty lumps that are incompatible with the general structure of the body, can be easily removed with liposuction, and smoother transition lines can be maintained.

  • The ideal patient group has adequate skin tightness. After removing the fat under the skin, an excess of skin occurs. The skin adapts/shrinks over time. Technologically improved modern devices provide support to skin tightening by simulating collagen formation. However, surgical skin removal of the excess skin may be required in the elderly, patient's with too much skin laxity, scar or stretch mark formation.

  • People who are not overweight, have a stable weight (at least 3months) and do not intend to lose excess weight or become pregnant in near future are the ideal patient group for liposuction.

Obese patients with high body mass index are not ideal candidates. As Suctioning more than %5 of body weight may trigger systemic complications.
