Mid Face Lift
Sedation or general anesthesia may be used for mid-face.
The operation is performed from the incision located just under lower eyelid lashes, that heals without a noticable scar. Mid-face structures will be lifted to their original position and stabilized with strong internal sticthes. The operation takes 2-3 hours.
Swelling and bruises will subside in 2-3 weeks. Return to daily routine is very short.
By the effect of gravity, the soft tissue on our cheekbones slide downward as the years pass by. This tissue block, with its base below and the apex pointing upwards, takes the opposite position with advancing age. This is interpreted with volume loss in the mid-face area.
Downwardly shifted can be lifted with mid-face lift through the lower lid incision just under the lashes.
Patients with minimal skin excess are the ideal candidates. With this technique, very satisfactory results are also obtained in the nasolabial-melolabial fold region. In this way, a smooth transition is achieved in the area of the cheek - eyelid junction. On the other hand, jaw line and marionette line areas can only be corrected with lower face or neck lift.
