Aesthetics is not the only purpose with nose surgery. Correction of respiratory distress is also part of the operation. So, if you have a breathing problem and want a change in appearance, you are a candidate for aesthetic nose surgery.

Inability to breathe through the nose is a common complaint, and its causes are numerous:

Middle wall curvatures - Septal deviations,

Excessive growth in intranasal shelves - Conchal hypertrhophy,

Collapse of  the nostrils or the mid-nose while breathing

Nasal polyps

are the most frequent.

Nasal development determines the age of surgery. Intervention is not preferred before the age of 17-18, as it can disrupt the development of the nose. In younger patients with full respiratory or tissue loss, intervention may be made taking the psychological and physiological  factors into account.

First of all, respiratory tract is evaluated by physical examination. If required , endoscopic examination or computed tomography scans are accomplished.
